“Armenian Protest Detainees Released, One Still in Custody: Charges Likely”

On May 31, 26 detainees who were involved in the protests against the AGN Building were released, leaving only one individual, Gnel Petrosyan, still being held in the Kentron Committee. It is expected that he will be charged with a violation. Today, June 6, lawyer Sergey Harutyunyan announced during a press conference at Surb Anna Church that Petrosyan had been detained for 24 hours in order to bring him to court and determine his detention status.

Earlier, it was reported that Bagrat Srabazan was also arrested on the same day as the protests. On May 31, supporters of Srabazan, who were participating in the protest, gathered and demanded a meeting with Ararat Mirzoyan. During the conflict between the police and journalists at the scene, 27 journalists were detained. However, as of June 6, 26 of them have been released.
