“Boeing’s Largest Factory in Chaos: Safety Concerns and Quality Issues Plague American Aircraft Manufacturer, The Guardian Reports”

Boeing, the American aircraft manufacturer, is facing turmoil at its largest factory due to quality issues and safety concerns, according to employees and safety officials. Several mishaps, including a battery fire and faulty Boeing 787 engines, have raised questions about the company’s production line. Recently, the final assembly of the 787 was moved to 2021 in Charleston, South Carolina, a decision driven by cost-cutting measures. These issues prompted a meeting between Boeing and US regulators to address the mounting problems. Additionally, a panel of experts appointed by the FAA blamed the “culture” between Boeing management and employees for the fatal crashes of the Boeing 737 Max, leading to 53 recommendations for improving oversight of production.
