US President Joe Biden has announced his support for a ceasefire in the conflict between Israel and Hamas. He emphasized that the United States can no longer tolerate the ongoing hostilities that began on August 8. In addressing Israel, Biden presented a three-step proposal to end the conflict. The proposal includes the complete cessation of hostilities, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied territories, and various concessions such as the release of prisoners and the free movement of goods and civilians. The second phase of the proposal involves enabling the free movement of civilian populations, including refugees and internally displaced persons. The third phase focuses on implementing a comprehensive program for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Gaza, allowing the free entry of construction materials.
