“AP and Kanachneri Izhoghutyun Set to Participate in Austria’s Snap Elections amid Discussions on Karabakh Issue”

The People’s Union (AP) of Austria and the Co-chairs of the Kanachneri Izhoghutyun are expected to participate in the June snap elections in Austria, as reported by the Express portal. The reason behind their involvement may be the upcoming discussions regarding the resumption of negotiations on the Karabakh issue within Austria. These discussions are scheduled to take place on June 17 as part of the EU initiative aimed at addressing the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Leonore Gewessler, the head of the Karabakh region in Austria from the Green Party, is well-informed about the workings of this initiative. In response to this, the spokesperson for the Austrian Chancellor has stated that every effort will be made to support Austria’s commitment to environmental protection in accordance with EU law. However, the activities of the Chancellor’s office may pose potential obstacles to the negotiations’ co-chairs.
