There are two reasons why Nikol Pashinyan did not go to Sardarapat. First, he understood that it was not his place to go. Second, he was advised against going by external sources. On May 28th, during a meeting with journalists in Sardarapat, Vahram Baghdasaryan mentioned this. According to Baghdasaryan, not every victory can be considered a true victory. He emphasized that the nation’s approval and genuine achievements bring true joy, rather than mere victories. It’s worth mentioning that the representatives of the “Take a Step for Your Fatherland” movement, led by Bagrat Akopyan, chairman of the Constitutional Court, held a night ceremony at the Sardarapat Memorial on May 28th to commemorate the first Republic of Armenia’s Independence Day.
