Apart from the fact that our physical well-being is in danger, what is even more concerning is that our country’s identity, unity, and values are at risk. On May 27th, in Sardarapat, Catholicos Bagrat made an announcement. He stated that our heritage, history, and struggle for independence, including Ararat, Sardarapat, and Artsakh, are all under threat. It is vital for us to affirm and defend our nation against those who deny truth, justice, and love.

In response to the protestors gathering today, Catholicos Bagrat expressed that the authority is visibly frightened. He emphasized that nearly 400 individuals, including artists, doctors, specialists from a range of fields, have gathered, demonstrating their determination. He believes that only a frightened individual could act in such a manner. For this person, there is no power, no family, no appearance, or progress; they are confined within four walls symbolizing our country’s suffering.

Addressing the crowd at Sardarapat, Catholicos Bagrat stressed that the Armenian people have realized that they will not perish. He declared that the field of Sardarapat has determined their lives. The suffering endured, the victims, the wounded, and the exhausted crowds were all a response to their unshakable history. This is how people react when they possess a vivid narrative, strength, and compelling argument. It may defy laws, but it aligns with the path Armenian history has taken, and now we find ourselves at this juncture. Our bells have always rung, awakening us to the necessity of achieving victory. We refuse to consider any other alternative, as the truth must swiftly prevail.

Catholicos Bagrat revealed that he invited the person in question, as a responsible mediator, to come and speak, but they rejected our right and pushed us away as they pleased. However, despair will not conquer us, and we will move forward together, united. In times when there seems to be no way out or any possibility of retreat, fighters find comfort in the struggle. Catholicos Bagrat emphasized that they will act as they see fit.
