“Arctic Circle Talks Conclude: Russia, Denmark, Canada, Norway, and USA Shift Focus on Arctic Shelf Issues”
The “Arctic Circle” talks, involving Russia, Denmark, Canada, Norway, and the USA, have been concluded, according to Maxim Murokhin, the head of the Russian Arctic Agency. The discussions aimed to address issues related to the Arctic shelf and allowed the countries to clarify their positions and inform each other about their future plans. However, Murokhin stated that this mechanism is no longer in use, as the talks on the Arctic shelf were completed without their initiative. He emphasized that this is not a problem for Russia and suggested that other Arctic countries have voluntarily abandoned discussions on these vital issues.
