Explosion and Crash Shake Yerevan: Rescuers Rush to Assist in Gas Explosion Emergency on Nairi Zaryan Street

On May 24th, at 02:53, the national emergency management center received information about a gas explosion near building number 75 on Nairi Zaryan Street in Yerevan. The rescuers were called for assistance.

According to the rescue service, it has been reported to NEWS.am that the incident took place along one of the routes used by the Yerevan City Rescue and Emergency Department.

It has been clarified that a “BMW” car, driven by S.P. (born in 1999), collided with several parked cars of different brands, including “Ford”, “Nissan”, “Ford”, “Opel”, and “Hyundai”. The collision caused the “BMW” to crash into a house fence on Nairi Zaryan Street.

The rescuers promptly extracted the driver from the “BMW” and provided immediate medical assistance, as he was injured.

In addition, the rescuers managed to extinguish the fire in the damaged cars and closed the gas valves of the affected vehicles, including those of the “BMW”, “Ford”, and “Hyundai” brands.

It is evident that the driver is not currently in the hospital.
