The 5th part of the 38th article of the “Law on Education” requires teachers to undergo professional development in order to achieve the highest level of education. For those interested in obtaining an academic degree, the deadline for submitting applications to the Ministry of Education and Science is from May 23 to July 23, 2024. The necessary documents include an application form, a diploma of completion of higher education, two passport-sized photos, a copy of a valid ID card or passport, and proof of employment in the field of general education, if applicable.

It’s worth noting that according to a decision made by the Government of the Republic of Armenia on May 2, 2024, the government will reimburse the payment for professional development if a teacher does not achieve at least 60% of the average quality rating (MOG) or fails the final examination.
