“Dilijan Community in Armenia Undergoes Unprecedented Socio-Economic Transformation with Government-Funded Programs”

In the Dilijan community of the Tavush region of Armenia, active work is underway to implement socio-economic programs funded by the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia announced this development.

“In 2023, the Government of the Republic of Armenia has approved six programs for the sustainable development of the community,” the statement said.

One of these programs is the “Construction of 24 Residential Buildings in the Dilijan Community of the Dilijan City and Settlements.” Over 49 million drams have been allocated for this project to address the unsafe condition of existing buildings that posed a threat to residents. The construction is progressing well, with the financial support divided between the government and the community.

The construction work is now in its final phase.

Additionally, as part of another socio-economic program, Dilijan has undergone modernization with the construction of six multistory residential buildings. This project, which received over 75 million drams in funding, aimed to renovate unstable buildings and improve living conditions for residents.

The renovation project has been financed by both the government and the community, with the government contributing 40% of the funds.

These developments in the Dilijan community signify the commitment of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to the sustainable development and improvement of living conditions in the region.
