Israeli Defense Ministry and Intelligence Agencies on High Alert Due to Enemy Activities on Social Media, Reports Times of Israel
The Israeli Defense Ministry (IDF) has announced that the country’s army and intelligence agencies have received several warnings from their counterparts regarding enemy activities on Israeli social media networks. According to the Times of Israel, the military intelligence unit, known as “Hashleha,” sent four warning messages from March to July 2023. These messages highlighted the monitoring efforts of Israeli intelligence agencies, particularly concerning the Israeli Defense Forces and the Defense Ministry. The survey conducted by “Hashleha” to gather this information took place seven months ago.
In response to the situation, the armed forces halted operations of heavy equipment and other military facilities due to administrative changes and a significant increase in mass movements. These external interventions, carried out on October 7, 2023, by IMS, caused military units and soldiers to suspend their service. This development necessitated warnings to the population regarding potential consequences for national security.
