“Armenia’s Minister of Education Plans Spectacular Armenian-British Exhibition at National Library of Great Britain”

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, recently visited the National Library of Great Britain in London. The purpose of the visit was to plan for an exhibition next year that will focus on the relations between Armenia and Britain. Several important figures from the British Library were present at the meeting, including Marci Hoppkindz, the Director of the International Reading Room; Eleanor Cooper, the Director of International Collection Development; Luiza Mengoni, the Director of the Asian and African Collections; and Michael Edmond, the Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Collections.

During the meeting, Minister Andreasyan and the British Library directors discussed the possibility of organizing educational events, such as lectures, in the National Library of Great Britain that are similar to those held in Armenia. Minister Andreasyan also expressed her willingness to support the organization of the upcoming exhibition in Armenia. Additionally, Minister Andreasyan emphasized the importance of preserving Armenian cultural heritage in the British Library, specifically through the digitization of manuscripts and the mapping and cataloging of various materials.
