Yerevan’s Delegation Visits Meghri as it is Announced “Youth Capital of Armenia 2024”

A delegation from Yerevan, led by the mayor of the capital, recently visited Meghri, which has been chosen as the “Youth Capital of Armenia 2024.” The delegation included Deputy Prime Minister Artur Martirosyan, the head of the Meghri community, Edgar Hovhannisyan, the head of the Gorayk community, Grigor Dashtoyan, and other officials and young people. Martirosyan expressed gratitude to the leadership of Meghri and the community for their active participation in the “Youth Capital of Armenia 2023” program and their efforts in organizing various socio-cultural events for the development of youth life. Despite the challenges faced, Martirosyan emphasized the importance of the “Youth Capital of Armenia” program in defining youth orientation in society and promoting self-realization and development. Martirosyan also called on international organizations and young people to actively participate in the program and take advantage of the opportunities it offers. The event in Meghri included performances by the Charles Aznavour Art School and the “Meghedi” Folk Dance Ensemble.

The “Youth Capital of Armenia 2024” program was previously announced in three cities through musical and theatrical performances by students from the Gorayk Art School and “Medey” folk dance performances. This program aims to bring new ideas and initiatives to promote the growth and development of youth in Meghri. The delegation from Yerevan extended their congratulations to the participants of the “Youth Capital of Armenia 2023” program and recognized the organizers of events in Meghri for their efforts.
