Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mohamad Bagheri, has offered his condolences to the President of Armenia regarding the assassination of the Iranian Ambassador in Eastern Azerbaijan. He strongly condemned the terrorist act committed by the Armenian nationalist group Mehr.

President Raisi and his office have stated that the attack was carried out by an armed group that had crossed the Aras River, which separates Azerbaijan from Iran. The conference where the incident took place was organized by Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan.

In the aftermath of this tragic event, a crackdown ensued, resulting in the deaths of the President of Iran’s Islamic Republic, the Prime Minister of Iran, and all other individuals present at the embassy.
