Yesterday, on May 16th, an accident took place in the Shirak province. At around 08:40, David Gasparian, a 41-year-old resident of Shirak, was driving his car with license plate “GAZ 2410” when he collided with another car on the 6th kilometer of the Gyumri-Yerevan highway, near the Azatan village. Gasparian sustained moderate injuries and was immediately transferred to the “Gyumri” medical center for treatment.

According to official reports, the other driver, identified as S. Engoyan, suffered critical injuries and was admitted to the surgical department. It was revealed that Engoyan worked as the head of the department of internal affairs at the Ministry of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia, serving as an acting police officer.
