“Ararat Woman’s Million-Dram Theft Uncovered: Stolen Cash and Gold Jewelry Used for Gambling”

An accident occurred in the Ararat province on May 12. At 21:00, a 36-year-old resident of Ararat went to the police department with a statement. They claimed that from April 12 to May 12, a sum of 1,200,000 drams, $3,200, 20,000 rubles, and various gold jewelry were stolen from the safe of the “Nakashian Lavash” bakery in Ararat city. According to Shamshyan.com, the investigation and operational activities carried out by the employees of the Internal Affairs department of the RA Police of Ararat led to the invitation of a 29-year-old woman to the Ararat police department. She was wanted and confessed to stealing the mentioned amounts without involving others. The gold jewelry was deposited in different banks, and she used the stolen amounts for personal use and gambling. The police department of Ararat has prepared documents related to the incident, which have been transferred to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia in the Ararat province.
