“Biblos Bank Armenia and Yerevan State University Celebrate Student and Youth Day with Education Loan Program”

The celebration of Student and Youth Day took place at the main campus of Yerevan State University, where students who received education loans from Biblos Bank Armenia met with the bank’s CEO Hayk Stepanyan.

The bank and the students have successfully implemented joint projects, including a memorandum of cooperation signed in 2023 between the university and the bank. This memorandum allows for the implementation of real projects, and during the 2023-2024 academic year, 10 students from YSU received education loans from Biblos Bank Armenia, while another 5 students received scholarships.

On May 16, in Armenia, on Student and Youth Day, as well as the day of the establishment of YSU, students interested in education loans provided by the bank gathered to learn more about how these loans can help them achieve their goals.

“I am very pleased with the cooperation with the university, which allowed us to meet with the students who received education loans from Biblos Bank Armenia. I am impressed and hopeful that the education loans will help young people achieve their goals. Biblos Bank Armenia attaches great importance to academic education, and this scholarship program is another manifestation of our attention,” said Hayk Stepanyan, CEO of Biblos Bank Armenia.

The meeting was also attended by YSU Rector Hayk Hovhannisyan, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between the bank and the university in bridging the gap between the labor market and education.

“Today, we met with the students for the second time and clarified that this education loan is also an obligation that will allow them to implement the results of their education in practice. Such cooperation creates wide opportunities between the university and the labor market. I believe that our students will make the best use of this opportunity, and Biblos Bank Armenia will contribute to their future,” said Hayk Hovhannisyan.

The memorandum between the university and the bank is still in effect, and Biblos Bank Armenia will continue to provide education loans in the coming years to contribute to the development of healthy and competitive communities. They will also implement various projects and educational programs within the scope of the Faculty of Economics and Management at YSU.
