The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, and the Israeli Minister of Defense, Yoav Galant, recently held a discussion regarding the situation in Rafah, Gaza Strip. This information was relayed through a statement released by the US embassy on Monday. According to the document, Blinken expressed the United States’ commitment to supporting Israel’s security and its right to defend itself. Furthermore, during their conversation, they addressed the ongoing issue of rockets being fired towards Israel from the Gaza Strip. The Secretary emphasized the United States’ solidarity with Israel in combating significant terrorist activity in Rafah, which has led to the displacement of over one million people.

In addition to this, Blinken also conveyed to the Israeli Minister of Defense the importance of safeguarding the civilian population and humanitarian workers in Gaza. They discussed the challenges associated with the deployment of these workers and the need to resolve any difficulties that may arise.
