Mass Protests Erupt in 50 Cities Across Armenia Demanding Change in “National Assembly”; Legal Assistance Provided to Protesters as Constitutional Court Representatives Visit

According to recent reports, protests are taking place in approximately 50 cities as various sections of society express their dissatisfaction with the “National Assembly”. Legal assistance is being provided to all protesters, and representatives from the Constitutional Court are visiting the protest sites. Bagrat Srbazan, the leader of the previous Tavush theme, has announced that active actions will be taking place today in 10 locations throughout Armenia – including Yerevan and the regions. The exact number of participants has not been officially estimated yet, but the rally is scheduled to take place as planned at 18:30.

In the morning, citizens gathered in front of the Government building and, led by Bagrat Srbazan, started moving in different directions. Students from various universities joined the groups and met with Bagrat Srbazan. It is worth noting that Bagrat Srbazan had previously announced at the Government’s rally that he would initiate actions calling for mobilization before stepping down. Additionally, Faction 2 of the National Assembly has initiated the process of impeaching the Prime Minister’s resignation in the National Assembly.
