“Chechnya’s President Ramzan Kadyrov Dismisses Brother from Regional Head Position Amidst Controversial Allegations”

Chechnya’s head, Ramzan Kadyrov, has dismissed his 27-year-old brother, Khamzat Kadyrov, from his position as the head of the Chechnya region. The announcement was made by Adam Delikhanyan, the spokesman for Chechnya’s President, on his Telegram channel. The dismissal was authorized by Russian President, Vladimir Putin, although the reasons behind the decision remain unknown. According to Delikhanyan, Khamzat Kadyrov had been actively involved in military operations that supported militants. Khamzat Kadyrov previously held the positions of deputy head of Chechnya, governor of the territory, and head of its agricultural administration. Currently, his personal bodyguard is in quarantine due to security concerns. In 2023, Khamzat Kadyrov received the “Order of the Fatherland” Second Class for his contribution to the heroization of Chechnya and his services to the country.
