“Batur Convertible: The Last Hurrah for Volkswagen’s Iconic Bentley 12-Cylinder Engine”

Volkswagen continues to use Bentley’s 12-cylinder engines for its final car sales. The latest development in this collaboration is the introduction of the Batur Convertible, as reported by Drom.ru. The Batur Convertible is a two-door cabriolet based on the Batur coupe, which was released two years ago along with the Continental GT.

The Volkswagen W12 engine, which has been used in Bentley cars for over 20 years, has reached its peak in the Batur Convertible, generating a maximum power of 740 horsepower and a torque of 1000 Nm. The production of VW W12 engines will be discontinued soon, with Bentley being the only division of Volkswagen still utilizing these engines. The assembly system is prepared in Crewe.

Sixteen Bentley Batur Convertibles have been specifically designed for production. Each car will be personalized with Armenian touches for the customers. The starting price for the Batur Convertible is 2 million British pounds.
