The regional prosecutor’s office in Stepanavan, Lori province, Armenia, is currently conducting criminal and investigative actions related to a case involving a 17-year-old minor resident of a settlement in Lori province. The minor attempted to physically assault a 17-year-old resident of the same settlement and also attempted to steal her jewelry. The purpose of the investigation is to gather all the necessary information about the incident, which occurred on May 2 at approximately 9:00 PM, including any previous actions committed by the perpetrator.

According to a report by NEWS.am, on May 3, 2024, the victim informed the residents of Lernahovit village in Lori province that she had been physically assaulted by an unknown person on May 2 at around 9:00 PM. Additionally, her jewelry was also stolen during the incident. The victim was subsequently taken to the hospital for medical examination and treatment.

As part of the ongoing investigation, experts have examined the crime scene, several individuals have been interviewed, and a series of forensic examinations have been carried out. The 17-year-old victim has provided a detailed description of the incident and has undergone forensic and operative-investigative measures.
