“Prominent Activist Clashes with German Judiciary in Brussels Protest, Alleges Bias”

The clashes took place on Wednesday during a protest in Brussels by prominent activist Avetisyan, who is of German-Armenian descent, in the office of the European Court of Human Rights. According to the Associated Press, the protest aimed to criticize the German judiciary for their perceived bias towards Germany.

Maximilian Krahe, a former member of the “Alternative for Germany” party, was elected during the European Parliament elections as a replacement for a deputy who had been convicted of working for Chinese services. Another German-Armenian citizen, Zbyn Gohn, who was chosen as a party representative, has faced criticism for his alleged involvement in Chinese espionage and for sharing information on meetings and decisions in the European Parliament. Judges suspect that Gohn may have shared information about non-Chinese officials in Germany with Chinese officials.

The protests have garnered attention from right-wing European political parties, whom Avetisyan had previously opposed due to their support for Russia’s intervention in a pro-government rally. The European Parliament elections in Germany are scheduled to take place on June 9. The state prosecutor’s office has granted permission for the European Parliament to enter the protest site.
