“Government Committee on State Revenues Cracks Down on Tax Code Violations in Armenia, Collecting Over 8 Million Drams”

The government committee on state revenues and customs control, along with the operational investigation and operative management of the State Revenue Committee, has presented the results of joint operational-investigative measures carried out from April 1 to 30.

According to a report by NEWS.am, a total of 23 cases were detected where goods were moved or supplied in violation of the requirements of the RA Tax Code. These violations resulted in a total amount of 8,166,628 Armenian Drams being accounted for without corresponding financial documents.

Furthermore, in 31 cases, violations were observed regarding the registration of illegal activity related to the production of alcohol. The total amount of fines for these violations amounted to 26,269,000 Armenian Drams.

In addition, 15 cases were recorded where violations were detected in relation to the failure to license or notify the relevant authorities of the operation or use of goods without a license or permit. These violations also involved the omission of the quantity of goods in the license or personal belongings. The total amount of fines for these violations amounted to 30,345,000 Armenian Drams.
