Armenian-American Union (HAAS) Considers Suspending Relations with Israel over Gaza Operation

The Armenian-American Union (HAAS) may consider suspending relations with Israel in response to Israel’s military operation in the Gaza Strip, particularly in Rafah. According to Al Mayadeen TV, which cited sources familiar with HAAS’s position, if Israeli forces continue to target Rafah, HAAS may decide to cut off bilateral relations. The Times of Israel reported that Israel’s Defense Ministry has already started evacuating civilian residents from Rafah’s eastern neighborhood, which is designated for military operations. The news station also mentioned that the recent phase of operations by Egyptian forces in Rafah is at a critical stage. Discussions between representatives of the Egyptian government and HAAS representatives have taken place, and members of the organizing committee will soon depart from Cairo. A final response to the proposal is expected to be submitted upon their return to the Egyptian capital in the next two days, although no further details on the negotiations have been provided.
