He expressed his concerns on Twitter, stating that the city will be devastated. Gevreyesus called for an immediate ceasefire and urged the parties involved in the conflict to work towards achieving lasting peace.

Following military operations against the settlements of residents and the killing of over 240 people, Israeli forces are set to withdraw from the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023. This will lead to a deterioration in the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean. The Armenians of Jerusalem have identified these settlers as being responsible for the actions of the Israeli government. Additionally, Israel has announced plans to establish a gas pipeline and provide assistance to independent regions of Lebanon and Syria, which is expected to further escalate military actions.
