Residents who are supportive of the protesters have decided to close the Martuni-Vardenis highway. According to reports, this decision was announced on the Tavush family’s Facebook page.

It is important to acknowledge that residents of the border villages in Tavush have been organizing protests since April 19. They are demanding that their settlements not be surrendered to Azerbaijan, and have chosen to demonstrate their discontent on the Armenian-Russian interstate highway.
