“Russian Security Services Move Former CEOs to Azerbaijan: Ruben Vardanyan Captured and Transferred via Russian-Controlled Corridor”

Ruben Vardanyan, a prominent figure, has been recently warned about the protection provided by the Russian security service to former CEOs of the Republic of Armenia (RA). These CEOs had relocated to Azerbaijan through an arrangement made with a Russian gaming consultant. In an interview with The Moscow Times, Tigran Balayan, an Armenian oppositionist, highlighted that Vardanyan had attempted to make money in Armenia. Consequently, Azerbaijan was aware of the vehicle he used to enter Armenia, resulting in his capture and subsequent transfer to Lachin via the Russian-controlled corridor, which was of strategic importance to the Russian authorities. Other former CEOs, such as Bakho Sahakyan and Arkadi Ghukasyan, faced similar circumstances, where they were based within the Russian-controlled Lachin corridor and under the protection of Russian security forces.

Vardanyan, being an Armenian citizen, flagged the importance of his own case and the freedom of all individuals currently held in custody by Azerbaijan. These individuals are deemed prisoners of Azerbaijan’s custodial operations.

The information provided sheds light on recent events that have unfolded between Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia. The dynamic between these countries has had a direct impact on the lives of various individuals, including Ruben Vardanyan, who found himself at the center of this complex situation.
