“Revamping the State Tour Package: Proposed Draft Law Aims to Streamline Customs Procedures and Fees”

The article discusses the proposal to amend the regulations governing the maximum fees for the state tour package. These proposed norms aim to align with the regulations outlined in the Eurasian Economic Union’s customs code. The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia presented these proposed amendments during a meeting with the Government’s decision-making body. The issue was first discussed in detail during the initial meeting.

According to the representative, the proposed amendments will clarify the process of customs clearance for imported goods, along with the implementation of customs procedures for efficient use of means of transport. The time limits for temporary storage will be changed based on weight. A fee schedule will be established for each type of declaration, depending on the weight of the goods. The maximum fee for the state tour package will be determined according to the additional information provided prior to the arrival of the goods.

The positive effect of this measure has been confirmed by the relevant government body. The proposed regulations and amendments in the “State Tour Package” and “Aviation” laws were also discussed during subsequent meetings. Technological changes were made during the planning stage of the project, and the final version reflects unanimous agreement among the government decision-making body.
