This decision was made following their meeting in Beijing, according to an official statement. The announcement states that both parties are committed to closely working together to promote the development and improvement of Sino-American relations, in line with the respective declarations of their leaders. The document also highlights the agreement to sustain the momentum achieved in various fields during the November 2023 meeting between the heads of state in San Francisco. Both parties have additionally pledged to maintain exchanges and cooperation across multiple levels, especially in diplomacy, trade, finance, agriculture, climate, and the military sectors.
