“Clean Energy Plant Thriving, But Faces Supplier Disruption; Employment Stability Questioned”

A clean energy plant has been in operation for two months, employing approximately 400 workers, according to officials from the Clean Energy Company. The news was reported by “Hetq.” The main supplier of the plant, the “Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine” CJSC, has stopped supplying molybdenum to the plant. The plant has now been completed.

Robert Davtyan, lawyer for the “Clean Energy Plant” CJSC, confirmed this information to us. However, workers have claimed that they have been laid off and have provided letters of dismissal, either due to their resignation or to pursue another job. Despite this, the plant has not initiated the dismissal process for any of them.

The “Clean Energy Plant” CJSC is involved in the recycling of mobile scrap in Armenia. It was the first in the country to produce ferromolybdenum and also produces metallurgical molybdenum.

According to the company’s website, the “Clean Energy Plant” was established in 1968 and was subsequently reorganized as “Clean Energy Plant” CJSC in 1995. The main focus of the company is the production of ferromolybdenum and calcined metallurgical molybdenum.

In 2015, the company began offering services for the recycling of molybdenum concentrate scrap. In 2016, production of calcined metallurgical molybdenum was temporarily halted for technical re-equipment. Since 2020, the plant has resumed production and sale of technical oxide.
