“UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak Unveils Ambitious £75 Billion Security Boost to Make World the ‘Safest Place’ Post-Syria”

The Prime Minister of Great Britain, Rishi Sunak, has announced plans to increase security spending by £75 billion over the next three years. The aim is to ensure that the world becomes the “safest place” following the end of the conflict in Syria. According to PA Media, the Chancellor of Great Britain stated that by 2030, the UK will spend 2.5% of GDP on security. This announcement confirms the objectives set for 2022 by former Prime Minister Boris Johnson and reflects Sunak’s personal commitment to security budgeting. Sunak developed this program in consultation with Jens Stoltenberg, NATO’s Secretary-General, during military exercises in Wales. According to the new program, the security budget of Great Britain will gradually increase until it reaches £87 billion per year.
