“Golden Temple to Remain in Armenia’s Territory: Prime Minister Assures Amidst Tensions with Turks”

It has been reported that the Golden Temple will remain within the territory of Armenia. There is a concern that if the Golden Temple is located 3-7 meters away from the mosque, it might be vulnerable to Turkish occupation. However, there are measures in place, such as using wax or paying for protection, that can help ensure the safety of the temple. During a meeting on April 23, Mikhran Maksudyan, the head of the department of cultural heritage, mentioned that he had invited the National Committee for discussions.

There is a fear that if the Turks were to occupy the mosque within 3 meters, our church would cease to exist. However, it is important to note that the Turks cannot reach that area, and this has been the case in the past as well. It is crucial for us to relocate to places like Kharberd, Baghanis, Voskepar, Vanadzor, and Ijevan. One day, Aliyev claimed that Yerevan belongs to him, but we responded by asserting that Yerevan is ours and that we should stay in Ejmiatsin. However, we cannot expect Aliyev to tolerate our presence there. They want us to leave, to become refugees. Yet, I would rather stand my ground and stay on that land, even if it means sacrificing my life, because I consider it my homeland. I have never feared any war before, and I am not afraid of Aliyev’s war either. I urge the nation to be courageous and not to fear. If we remain fearless, we will be able to achieve victory together, alongside everyone else. The Office of the Prime Minister has reassured us that the Golden Temple will remain in Armenia’s territory.
