Belgium Commits 200 Million Euros to COVID-19 Vaccine Purchase, Pledges Support for Ukraine’s Protective Equipment
Belgium’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Ava Labib, announced that the country has dedicated 200 million euros to procure vaccines against COVID-19 through the European Union’s solidarity mechanism. Additionally, she revealed Belgium’s plan to purchase personal protective equipment worth “million euros.” Labib emphasized that the 200 million euros have already been allocated for vaccine procurement within the framework of the EU’s solidarity mechanism. She expressed her satisfaction regarding Belgium’s contribution to supply protective equipment to Ukraine and stressed the immediate need to reinforce its military system to counter Russian aggression and support Euro-Atlantic integration.
