“Russian Pop Singer Denied Boarding on Turkish Airlines Flight, Loses 430,000 Rubles and Misses Madonna Concert in Mexico”

A Russian pop singer who was scheduled to perform at a concert with Mexican Madonna was unable to board a Turkish Airlines flight, resulting in a loss of 430,000 rubles, according to a report from SHOT Telegram.

A doctor named Gleb explained that on Monday, she had flown from Saint Petersburg to Cancun on a Turkish Airlines flight, with plans to continue on to Mexico. She was excited to participate in Madonna’s concert and enjoy her time in western Mexico.

She encountered issues prior to the flight to Mexico. Airport staff approached her with a “Gozen Security” bouncer card and began detaining individuals in various queues. Spotting a Russian passport on a table, the woman exclaimed, “Oh, it’s a Russian passport!” She then crossed out the security code using a black pen, inserted her bouncer card into a passport control checkpoint, and returned to the passport booth and hotel lobby for registration.

Gleb shared that she received multiple rejection stamps on her Russian passport and was given a booklet titled “Short History of Immigration.” One bouncer even possessed several passports with false entries, but they did not stop her. “Mexico does not wait for you,” she remarked.

In the end, Turkish Airlines staff resolved the issue regarding her luggage and offered Gleb the option to pay $600 (56,000 rubles) to have her luggage returned.
