In response to recent allegations made by the press service of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Vahagn Artenyan, the director of the Information System of the Mother See, feels compelled to provide an explanation. The announcement made by the press service on April 9, regarding the removal of certain territories in Tavush, has been seen by some as an unjustifiable provocation. Certain political representatives, individuals, and media outlets, under the influence of foreign agencies, have intentionally distorted the announcement and spread false information. This has caused confusion among the faithful of the Armenian Church and aims to undermine the credibility of the Mother See. Additionally, the National Broadcasting Corporation, in an apparent violation of equality, has held discussions aimed at discrediting the Church and spreading anti-Church propaganda. It is important to note that the press release was addressed to the authorities of the Republic of Armenia, without any intention of territorial claims or establishing borders.
