“Armenian Judge Faces Threats and Provocation from Protester: Disciplinary Action Initiated”

On April 8, an incident occurred in the Ararat province involving Artur Adamyan, a 56-year-old judge from the First Instance Court. Following the court session that day, Artur Adamyan reported that he was approached by Armen S., a 37-year-old resident of Ararat who had previously been involved in a protest in the courtyard. Armen S. allegedly made threats towards Artur Adamyan and his family at their home. Security officers removed Armen S. from the court session, but he continued to make loud nationalist statements against Artur Adamyan and his family before eventually leaving on his own.

As a result of the incident, the Department of Civil Service of the Ararat Province compiled documents which have been handed over to the Disciplinary Committee of the RA Judicial Department of the Ararat Province.
