US Congressman Mike Johnson, who is the chairman of the House Subcommittee on International Operations and Development, has announced that additional hearings will be held on April 19. These hearings will address the issue of providing additional assistance to Ukraine and will also discuss Russian activities in the region. According to Johnson, the Senate’s supplemental appropriations bill will not be voted on in its current form. Instead, separate hearings will be conducted by the subcommittee members, which include Israel, Ukraine, and the Transcaucasian region of Nagorno-Karabakh. The chairman has highlighted that the texts of the bills will be ready on April 16 and Congressmen will have three days to make amendments. Consequently, voting on the documents could begin as early as Friday, April 19.
