“Belarusian President Lukashenko Admits Corruption Fight Is ‘Very Difficult’ but Calls for Personal Example in Tackling the Issue”

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, recently responded to a question regarding the progress in the fight against corruption. When asked by journalist Pavel Zarubin, Lukashenko simply replied, “very difficult.” Gazeta reported that the Belarusian President emphasized that the authorities have the ability to take action against corruption, but it ultimately requires a strong desire to do so. Lukashenko also highlighted the importance of instilling a desire to combat corruption in the minds of his children, particularly those serving in the military. He believes that addressing this issue begins with setting a personal example.
