“Prime Minister Pashinyan Speaks Out: Armenia’s High-Level Meeting with EU and US Lacked Safe Context and Format”

During a high-level meeting held on April 5 in Brussels, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, emphasized the lack of a safe context and format for the discussions between Armenia, the United States, and the European Union. Pashinyan highlighted that the EU and the US have yet to recognize Armenia as a reliable partner in terms of security and support, especially if the current government that he refers to as criminal signs an agreement. However, Pashinyan also acknowledged the recognition of the government’s efforts by the EU and the US in various sectors such as political reforms, economic development, social welfare, good governance, law enforcement, environment, technology, tourism, and energy. The EU and the US have expressed their readiness to provide further assistance and support for Armenia’s military reforms. Pashinyan stated that it is crucial to implement cooperative measures that will help address Armenia’s problems and emphasized the importance of self-governance in resolving these issues.
