Residents of Tavush Region Rally Against Restrictions Imposed on Armenian Villages Bordering Azerbaijan, Arman Tatoyan Speaks Out

Gathering signatures and holding protests have been taking place in several villages of the Tavush region in Armenia, including Azatamut, Kayan, Berkbear, Kirants, Ajarkut, Voskepar, Bghanist Ayrum, and other residential areas. Additionally, demonstrations have occurred along sections of the central highway. Arman Tatoyan, the former human rights defender of the Republic of Armenia, highlighted these activities on his Facebook page. Tatoyan expressed concern over the fact that Armenian citizens are not allowed representation or presence in the residential areas bordering Azerbaijan and on the roads, which has led to difficulties in their daily lives, violated their rights, endangered their security, displaced residents, and increased insecurity within Armenia. Tatoyan declared that more detailed information about the gathered documents and investigation outcomes will be presented at a later time.
