“Danielyan and Minasian Discuss Armenia’s Hosting of Francophonie’s International Games in 2027”

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Daniel Danielyan, met with Zeyna Minasian, the head of the International Committee of the Francophonie (ICF), to discuss the organization of the Francophonie’s international games in Armenia. Artur Sadrakyan, the head of the sports section of the ICF, along with financial and audiovisual production experts, also attended the meeting. The aim of organizing the 10th games in Armenia, scheduled for 2027, is to assess the country’s technological capabilities and the potential for event development. Minister Danielyan expressed the Armenian government’s commitment to organizing the games at a high standard, encompassing both sports and cultural events. The successful execution of these games will also serve to promote and disseminate Francophonie’s cultural and educational activities, highlighting their comprehensive benefits. To prepare for the international games, the formation of an organizing committee was discussed to oversee the evaluation and preparation of the games’ infrastructure, as well as the coordination of sports events. The lighting ceremony of the international games, scheduled for April 8-12 in Armenia, is expected to attract a large number of representatives from participating countries. Issues concerning broadcasting and the expansion of international broadcasting networks were also addressed during the meeting. The Francophonie’s international games are estimated to see the participation of more than 4,000 athletes from over 50 countries.
