Tragic Car Accident in Yerevan Claims Life of Elderly Driver and Leaves State Revenue Committee Employee Missing

An unfortunate incident occurred in Yerevan on April 4. Sargis A., a 67-year-old resident of Yerevan, crashed his “Mitsubishi Grandis” car into a “Kia” car that belonged to the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, as reported by Shamshyan.com.

The “Kia” car was also rear-ended by a following “Mercedes” car, which was then rear-ended by another “Mercedes” car.

Tragically, the driver of the “Mitsubishi” car passed away due to not receiving immediate medical assistance in the ambulance. The driver of the “Kia” car left the scene.

All the vehicles involved sustained material damage as a result of the accident. Shortly after, police officers and an investigatory team arrived at the scene and located where the driver of the “Kia” car, who is employed at the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, had gone.

Preliminary information suggests that the cause of the accident was the sudden braking of the “Mitsubishi” driver while the car was in motion.
