“CEO of SP Company Under Investigation for Gross Violation of Public Security in Armenia”

The CEO of SP Company is currently under a general criminal investigation by a judge, which began on April 3, 2024. The investigation is being conducted without the permission to use the company’s premises, located in the Syunik region’s MasIs community in Armenia. The CEO is accused of grossly violating the requirements established by the Republic of Armenia’s Constitutional Charter for public security.

The main judge of the Republic of Armenia has made an official announcement regarding this investigation. It has come to light that the CEO, identified as H.A., has been involved in illegal activities from July 2023 to March 2024, disregarding the requirements established by the Constitutional Charter for the protection and use of the territory.

The CEO has allegedly utilized the territory for construction purposes, resulting in an approximate total of 2800 square meters. Moreover, the CEO has expanded the area illegally, amounting to approximately 12,018 square kilometers. These actions have caused significant damage to the state and the local community.

As a result of the investigation, it has been determined that the losses suffered by the state and community amounted to AMD 17,282,417. However, the Company fully compensated for this loss on April 3, 2024.

The criminal investigation is still ongoing, and it is important to note that the accused individual is considered innocent until proven guilty. This principle is in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, which upholds the presumption of innocence within the judicial system.
