RD Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu met with the head of the RD Security Council to discuss the announcement of new military regulations, according to Moscow Komsomolets. Shoygu was informed of RD President Vladimir Putin’s decree appointing Navy Commander Aleksandr Moiseev as Deputy Chief of the General Staff responsible for naval affairs. Army General Konstantin Kobanov was replaced by Air Force General Sergey Pinchukov as the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, and Sergey Puchkov was replaced by Seyran Sevsovi as Deputy Chief of the General Staff for Land Forces.

Shoygu expressed his hope that these new appointments will be able to address the issues outlined by the President of Russia and the RD Security Council.
