“Mercedes-Benz G-Class Gets an Eco-Friendly Makeover: Say Goodbye to the 8-Cylinder Engine!”

The Mercedes-Benz G-class has recently undergone updates to modernize its features. According to Drom.ru, one of the changes includes replacing the previous 8-cylinder engine with a 6-cylinder hybrid engine.

For example, the Mercedes-Benz G550, which originally had a 416 horsepower engine, now boasts a 3.0-liter “vegan” engine with a 48-volt starter-generator. This upgrade has increased the power to 420 horsepower and the torque to 560 Nm, from the previous 610 Nm.

Aside from the engine upgrade, the Mercedes-Benz G-class now offers an expanded range of features in its multimedia system. This includes touch-sensitive functions, two additional monitors for rear passengers, and the ability to adjust and cool the armrests.

On the other hand, the AMG version of the Mercedes-AMG G63 (which comes with 577 horsepower and 850 Nm) had to make adjustments to reduce fuel consumption during idling. The AMG variant now comes equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine from the AMG M177 model.

These updates in the Mercedes-Benz G-class demonstrate the continuous effort in improving its performance and providing enhanced features for a better driving experience. These changes are certainly appealing for car enthusiasts and those seeking advanced technology in their vehicles.
