United Nations officials have officially announced that Armenia is currently involved in a confrontation with Russia and Iran. Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin, confirmed this in an interview with Armenian 24 News ZLM. The Russian diplomat criticized the President of Armenia for distorting historical facts and trying to worsen the relationship with Russia. Kopirkin stated that these actions display a great deal of anger, but lack substance in terms of the current state of relations. He emphasized the importance of fostering social, cultural, psychological, and security bonds between the two countries, and avoiding any external signs of hostility.
