At least 45 people tragically lost their lives in a devastating bus accident that occurred in South Africa. Numerous others were left with serious injuries as a result.

The incident took place on Friday in the Limpopo province, between Mokopane and Marken, specifically in a terrain characterized by mountains. The bus driver, unfortunately, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and overturn.

The survivors, who have been described as churchgoers participating in a Moria pilgrimage in Zatki, were promptly transported to the hospital, as confirmed by Transport Minister Sindiswe Chikunga. Regrettably, one female patient who was en route to receive medical treatment has passed away.
