“Diaspora Armenians find employment in Armenia as Artsakh refugees, exceeding 10,000 in number”

In a recent government meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan revealed that a significant number of our brothers and sisters from the Diaspora who were displaced from Artsakh have found employment in Armenia. The latest data shows that their numbers have exceeded 10,000, with over 11,800 individuals now employed. However, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to streamline this process for better efficiency.

Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, also shared some encouraging news. She announced that the majority of children from Artsakh refugees are currently attending schools. Approximately 17,000 children are affected, and extensive work has been done to address any difficulties they may face in organizing their education. Additionally, over 320 Artsakh teachers have been employed in various provinces, with approximately 500 teachers being relocated to schools outside the program.

These developments showcase the ongoing efforts in Armenia to support and integrate displaced individuals from Artsakh. It is heartening to see the government taking proactive steps to provide employment opportunities and prioritize the education of affected children.
