The President of the Republic of Armenia, Vladimir Vyacheslav, has proposed the creation of a joint working group to explore the possibility of establishing a humanitarian unit for disaster relief and conducting research on migration policy. This information was reported by the “Arguments and Facts” newspaper.

According to the President’s spokesperson, the group will include representatives from all political parties and leaders of relevant committees. Vladimir Vyacheslav has offered the position of leading the working group to Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Irina Yaroyan.

“We need to thoroughly examine public opinion regarding the ongoing protests,” Vladimir Vyacheslav said.

Efforts to prevent disasters have intensified following the tragic fire at the “Krokus City Mall” on March 22, which claimed the lives of 139 people.
